As a nursing home resident of 15 plus years I have seen most of the situations that you have mentioned above. I have seen staff treat new aides terribly and then expect them to help graciously.

In the past year I have experienced bullying and high handedness from aides at my facility. I have brought it to the attention of management and the regional ombudsman. But we have been unable to fix the problem. I still routinely go through sessions with particular aides that make bullying seem mild.

I do not understand why I am treated this way. It may be because I am alert and oriented and maybe the aides just enjoy getting a "rise" out of me.

I have tried to encourage other aides who have witnessed my situation to speak up. But I do not think anyone has spoken up. I just do not understand why no one has the courage to speak up about what is going on.

We need to police people who bully. Just because the aides have left no bruises on me, does not mean that I have not been abused in an unconscionable way.

This is a fantastic post! The US/CNA may possibly supply patient care. The US/CNA may possibly perform selected nursing procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual Nursing Procedure Manual. The US/CNA will perform at the least 50% Unit Secretary duties. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, the US/CNA offers a support function to the nurse by coordinating special tasks and assisting where necessary. http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474979840075

Your diet is a major contributor to your cellulite problem, therefore you need to remove as much saturated fat from your diet as possible. This means no more take-away food or foods that are deep-fried. You also want to limit your intake of foods that are high in toxins. To combat the toxin and saturated fat in one go you should reform your diet to contain more amounts of fresh vegetables and fruits. You also want to limit your consumption of alcohol, you should rather drink more water to help flush out the toxins naturally.

Geeze. You are writing my biography except that my father just died from complications of lipedema. "They" say lipedema is a gene carried almost always through the mother's side, but these are the same "theys" who have never recognized one of the millions of women who have it in their offices.

I preformed the funeral of a 27 year old woman who died of Sepsis after being turned away from the ER three times in a few hours. She died because she had lipedema. Had she fallen into a diabetic coma, the ER staff probably would have saved her but they knew nothing about protocol for lipedema. I went home and said to my family: "If I ever have to go to a hospital with leg wounds, make them treat me as though I have serious cellulitis." What a crazy disease.

As many people hit middle age, they often start to notice that their memory and mental clarity are not what they used to be. We suddenly can't remember where we put the keys just a moment ago, or an old acquaintance's name, or the name of an old band we used to love. As the brain fades, we euphemistically refer to these occurrences as "senior moments."

While seemingly innocent, this loss of mental focus can potentially have a detrimental impact on our professional, social, and personal wellbeing.

It happens to most of us, but is it inevitable?

Neuroscientists are increasingly showing that there's actually a lot that can be done. It turns that the brain needs exercise in much the same way our muscles do, and the right mental workouts can significantly improve our basic cognitive functions. Thinking is essentially a process of making neural connections in the brain. To a certain extent, our ability to excel in making the neural connections that drive intelligence is inherited. However, because these connections are made through effort and practice, scientists believe that intelligence can expand and fluctuate according to mental effort

I believe that avoiding prepared foods could be the first step in order to lose weight. They may taste fine, but ready-made foods contain very little vitamins and minerals, making you eat more in order to have enough strength to get with the day. For anyone who is constantly taking in these foods, changing to grain and other complex carbohydrates will aid you to have more energy while eating less. Interesting blog post.

You have some honest ideas here. I done a research on the issue and discovered most peoples will agree with your blog. After that early period, the Beatles evolved considerably over the years.
